Welcome to the Loring PTO!
When your family joins the Loring School community, you become a part of the Loring PTO; a community of parents, teachers and school administrators joining together to enrich the educational and social experience of our students.
Parent involvement is critical to our success and there are a number of ways to get involved. If you are interested in learning more about the different opportunities available please email our co-chairs Katie Riordan and Crystal Pike.
Loring Parents' Night out/Auction THANK YOU!
5/11/2022 9:39 pm
A HUGE shout out to all of our PAWSOME families who participated in the Parents' Night Out/Auction - through the raffle, wine grab, donations, attending, and/or volunteering! We raised over $11,000 that will go towards enriching your childs' education in a number of ways - supporting our teachers and staff, Creative Enrichment programming, technology, books, and so much more!
We can't thank our Loring Community enough for this amazing support! To those of you who made it to the event - thank you for coming! We had a great time with all of you and can't wait for next year's event! We hope you had fun, too!
A SPECIAL THANK YOU to our Auction Planning Committee - Rachel Heckler, Melissa Perla, Anne Devine, Amy Kohen, Dana Reese, Crystal Pike and Katie Riordan. Their hard work made the night the HUGE success that it was. Thank you also to: Marc Gallagher and Brian Tartufo for being our auction emcees and comedic relief for the evening; to Rebecca Firth for organizing the wine grab; to Morgan Freiman for helping with check in; and to Deb Cooley for always helping with the behind the scenes online forms and communications! Volunteers are what makes these things work and we are SO appreciative!!
THANK YOU!

Celebrate your child's birthday and support the Loring PTO with a Birthday Book! Have your child choose a book that they'd like to donate to the Loring Library in their honor. There will be a sticker on the inside cover that notes who it is from, so everyone who checks it out will know who picked it for years to come :) We will also give a shout out in our newsletter each month to those who have participated.
Forgot past birthdays? IT'S NOT TOO LATE! Purchase your books now!

Scholarships may be available. Contact Karen Blumberg for more information.

Can you help us spread the word?!
The PTO is looking to form a Communications committee to start in August 2022. The committee would have three roles (some of which can be shared between multiple people if desired). We already have one volunteers we are just looking for 1-2 more! Here are some details:
- Website and Membership ToolKit Updates: Help keep our website updated! No HTML or special knowledge is necessary. The platform for our website is very user friendly and has a lot of built in tutorials/help.
- Directory: Help update our super handy directory that we all rely on to find emails and contact info for our kids peers. Again here there is no special knowledge necessary, just the ability to manage the updates, which are particularly focused in the August/September time frame.
- Sales/Forms: Help create sales forms and registration forms for various PTO events and initiatives. These are done through Membership ToolKit and is another task that can be done from the comfort of anywhere with a glass of [[insert favorite beverage here]]!
This is a great opportunity to work with a few friends or get to know others. All of this can be done remotely at hours of your choosing. And best of all is that our current Web/Directory/Sales Coordinator, Deb Cooley, will be alongside the committee next year to show you the ropes.
We can't wait to chat about this role with you! If you are interested please email Crystal or Katie at cochairs@loringpto.org

Come in and help out at Lunch!
Choose a date and time that works for you in our Signup Genius here! There is a brief virtual training to review the expectations of our volunteers to ensure a seamless and successful volunteer program. Please contact Elizabeth Capodilupo with questions and to find out how to get a copy of the training.
As always, all volunteers must have an up to date CORI form. Please contact Tara DiBona if you have questions about your CORI form.
We're excited to have parents back in the school and helping out! Thanks so much for your support!
