Welcome to the Loring PTO!

When your family joins the Loring School community, you become a part of the Loring PTO; a community of parents, teachers and school administrators joining together to enrich the educational and social experience of our students.

Parent involvement is critical to our success and there are a number of ways to get involved. If you are interested in learning more about the different opportunities available please email our co-chairs Anne Devine and Melissa Perla.

Its Fun Run Time: Register today!

5/22/2024 11:10 am

It's time for the Loring Fun Run! Register today--its free, will earn your child a prize, and help us crush our goal and earn a priceless incentive!

Loring's Annual Fun Run is  Saturday, June 1st from 4:00-6:00 pm.

⭐️ Register Now On MYBOOSTER.COM  ⭐️

The Fun Run is one of the most anticipated events of the year! The kids have a blast running for their school and trying to beat the participation goal to earn the school wide reward. We are raising money to keep bringing special creative enrichment programs to each grade and the school as a whole. You can pledge per lap or a lump sum (note that if you do per lap, the kids will run ~32 laps).

This year's theme is World Changer Workshop and starting tomorrow the kids will be inspired to develop big ideas to help leave their mark on the world!  Registering is easy and free and best of all, if we get 70% of the school to simply register, Mrs. Harvey and Mr. Gaita will endure a hilarious special event at the Fun Run (ask your student(s) tomorrow what the Dude Perfect (un)Fortunate Wheel selected!)

After the kids have run their laps, they can enjoy a party on the playground! Travelin Bones Food truck will be on site for you to purchase food from and have a picnic with friends. The 5th graders will also have their dunk tank that was postponed due to rain in Fall. So you won't want to miss this event!

The funds raised will go toward creative enrichment for all grades.

First & Third Grade Creative Enrichment

5/22/2024 11:08 am

This week Talewise visited First Grade students with their Saving the World Together program. This program utilizes interactive storytelling to bring science experiments to life in fun and exciting ways! Ask your first grader if it's possible to make a cloud in a bottle with a bike pump and water!

On Monday, Third Graders enjoyed a visit from the Discovery Museum for their Force and Magnetism workshop. They learned about balanced and unbalanced forces and how magnets attract and repel. Students had the opportunity to explore different magnetic toys and how they work and then build their own magnetic creations!
As always, thank you to the Pawsome Community for supporting the PTO and funding programming. And, thank you to our 1st and 3rd grade creative enrichment coordinators, Ashley McGuire, Amanda Letts and Lauren Hargrove, who worked with teachers to bring these programs to Loring.
