Welcome to the Loring PTO!

When your family joins the Loring School community, you become a part of the Loring PTO; a community of parents, teachers and school administrators joining together to enrich the educational and social experience of our students.

Parent involvement is critical to our success and there are a number of ways to get involved. If you are interested in learning more about the different opportunities available please email our co-chairs Crystal Pike and Anne Devine.

Food Pantry Friday is Coming Next Week!

2/1/2023 3:58 pm

Our next Sudbury Food Pantry food drive is quickly approaching! Mark your calendars for Friday the 10th and get your donations ready!

The Sudbury Food Pantry has expressed how important our school food drives are to their overall supply, and the need for an increased supply has never been more important. Everyone knows that food costs have sky rocketed over the last few years, but being able to afford that increase has been extremely difficult for members of our community. Visits to the SFP have increased 40% in the last year, with a record high 5,662 family visits. To make matters worse, the SFP had an increase of 154% in food costs this year. They need our help.

Please consider donating what you can!

Fun Run Committee Needs Your Help!

2/1/2023 3:56 pm

The Fun Run committee is getting started with planning for this year's run (which occurs on June 3rd!). We could use some help, particularly from parents of younger students. This is an event for which a lot of the heavy lifting is done by Boosterthon so the commitment of helping on the committee is not substantial and is flexible. Please reach out to cochairs@loringpto.org if you are able to help!

Lunch and Recess Volunteers Needed! K, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade help needed TOMORROW

2/1/2023 3:54 pm

Thank you to the many of you who have volunteered at recess and lunch so far. We are still in need of someone for Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th TOMORROW.

The teachers and staff have expressed many times how helpful it was to have this time to meet and focus on planning. Our volunteer numbers have declined recently and there are still a number of unfilled spots, particularly for grades 3-5. We would love to keep giving the teachers this planning time, so if you are able to sign up for a shift, please do. Covering the 25 minutes of recess is the priority but staying for the 25 minute lunch immediately following is even better!

We are looking for 2 volunteers per grade on Tuesdays and Fridays. Dates and times are listed in the signup genius on the volunteer page of the PTO Website.  To SIGN UP, please click here.
