Loring - You are Pawsome!

Over the course of the year, we try our best to recognize the many volunteers that contribute to PTO events in the Thursday Notices. In addition to the Executive Board, there are other roles whose work behind the scenes all year long makes many of our initiatives possible. As the school year comes to a close, I'd like to acknowledge the many volunteers who support the PTO in these roles.

First, a huge thank you to both the "aging out" parents who served in roles throughout their time at Loring and all the new parents who have stepped up to take over - I can't wait to see what new ideas & energy they will bring

Thank you to Xi Su and Roman Geykhman for all of their work on the Membership Toolkit sales and forms as well as the website.  And apologies for our last minute requests!

Thank you to Laura Warren for holding three roles this year!  Laura handled our school beautification (the pawsome planter and flowers that greet us as we walk into the school), and also served as both Room Parent Coordinator and Senior Day Coordinator (the day where the Loring alums graduating from LS return to visit).

Heather Larson was our stellar Food Pantry coordinator again, shuffling more boxes than Amazon drivers.  She's passing the torch next year but we are so grateful for her years of volunteering in this role!

Wonder where those Red Folders come from each year?  Well, we can all thank Nadia Salman for volunteering each summer to source and label hundreds and hundreds of folders.

Thank you to Kimberley Kirby for stepping up (as a new K parent!) and becoming our Birthday Book Club Coordinator.  Thanks also to Katie Riordan and Amy Kohen who shared this role for many years.

Love Loring merch?  Hands together for our apparel coordinator, Sarah Astman! Thanks for keeping us all in our Loring best throughout the year.

Stephanie Coury continued to coordinate our Staff Spotlight, which celebrated each and every Loring staff member throughout the year.

Thank you to Colleen Gleason-Epple, our Business Sponsor whisperer, for recruiting our fabulous slate of Business Sponsors.  Our sponsors are responsible for almost 25% of our annual budget!

Kerri Brien took on two big tasks this year!  Not only was she back as our lunch and recess volunteer coordinator but she spearheaded planning the auction/PNO for the first time!

Thank you all for keeping the PTO moving forward each year - we truly couldn't do it without you!

More to come next week in the 39th and final Thursday Notice from me!
