Food Pantry TOMORROW

Help us make tomorrow our biggest Food Pantry collection of the school year - and don’t forget your PJs and stuffies! 

This month’s food drive for the Sudbury Food Pantry is taking place tomorrow and your donations are needed more than ever. Please remind your student to wear their PJs and bring their stuffies to school and join us by donating in one of three ways: 

• Donate nonperishables. Send donations with your student to school on Friday, November 21st - there is a collection bin in the lobby and out front. 

• Donate directly to the Food Pantry via their website. Make a monetary donation via the Sudbury Food Pantry’s website. Donate here and please let us know the amount of your donation.

• Don’t have time to shop? Have us shop for you. Laura kindly offered to do a big shop this month for the pantry. Just Venmo her and she’ll handle the rest: @Laura-Warren26 (last four digits -9949). Be sure to add a note that it’s for ‘Food Pantry.’

Last Friday, our volunteers were ready to b-i-n-GO and hosted a fabulous night. B4 we get into the thank yous to everyone who made the event possible, I don't want to forget to give a shoutout to the overwhelming favorite number of the night, O67!

Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped on Friday night with setup, check-in, food and drinks, prizes, and cleanup. Thank you to our special guest Bingo number callers: Loring Principal and Assistance Principal Mrs. Harvey and Mrs. Savage, Melissa Romeiro and Victor Lee from Code Ninjas, Dr. Ben Roth from Assabet Orthodontics, and Loring teachers Ms. OB, Ms. Roche and Miss Susie! 

A huge thanks to all of the Loring families who joined us for a fun-filled evening to raise money for our community!  We are so grateful for the truly amazing community at Loring lending a helping hand whenever needed.

And, last but certainly not least, an extra special thanks to Heather Larson, Ahmed Sanaullah, Renee Crescenzi, and Kelly Landberg for all their hard work this year to plan and execute this fun community event!

Because we are so thankful for our PAWSOME Loring teachers and staff, we set up a thank you snack bar yesterday during the last day of parent/teacher conferences!

Calling all Bakers! Loring Staff Holiday Treats Sampler!

On Monday, December 22nd, we will be hosting our annual Loring staff holiday treat sampler, where we ask families to bake 3 dozen festive bite-sized treats (no chocolate chip cookies!). Please consider supporting this wonderful tradition. A sign up will be available in the coming weeks, however, in case you want to bake and freeze your treats while you are prepping for Thanksgiving we wanted to give you advanced notice.

PTO Reimbursement Requests

HUGE thank you to all the parents and staff who have submitted reimbursement requests this year. We really appreciate all the hard work everyone is putting in! This is a friendly reminder from the PTO treasurers regarding reimbursement and check requests:

1. Please submit your receipts as either .pdf, .jpg or .png.

2. If at all possible, please consolidate your receipts into 1-3 documents so that you can submit one check request that combines multiple items. You can photograph multiple receipts at once or use this online tool to convert multiple jpg files to one pdf.

3. The forms work best from a personal computer or phone (beware of work firewalls).

4. Make sure to click "I'm finished with this form and am ready to submit it".

5. Please allow at least two weeks for your check to be mailed. If you need it sooner, please email treasurers@loringpto.org.

Box Tops

Are you getting ready for a Thanksgiving meal? Check out this list of products that count towards Box Tops for Education! Earning money for the PTO by collecting Box Tops is easier than ever! 

Did you know that in 2019, the Box Tops for Education program went digital? All you need to do is download the Box Tops app, select Loring as your school and start scanning your receipts. Box Tops can be applied through the app for both in-store and online purchases! Click here to get started!

Thanksgiving Recess

Please note that Thanksgiving Recess takes place with an early release on Wednesday, November 26 and no school on Thursday and Friday, November 27/28. Thursday Notices will be taking a break until December! Have a safe, restful, and wonderful Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for your participation!
