We all know how challenging and stressful it can be for students today: managing large amounts of homework, juggling after- school activities, dealing with peer pressures and societal or school tensions. So, how do we help our children navigate their way in a supportive, engaging way? How do we communicate with our kids to help them make good decisions, build upon their assets, and limit stress in their lives? How can we set them up for success in an engaging, supportive manner? Stan Davis, a well-known expert in youth counseling and bullying prevention, will outline some approaches that parents can use to support their children to become resilient young adults. The evening program will begin with a video of Curtis students discussing issues that they would like parents to know - and Stan Davis will connect those topics into an interactive discussion about how we can help build a more supportive, connected environment where our children can grow and flourish.
