Welcome to the nurse office :
During school hours, the health office is staffed by a certified nurse. The nurse administers first aid and medications. The nurse is also available to discuss children specific health needs in the school environment, to answer questions and to address any health concerns.

The school year is off to a busy start. I have begun the mandated Vision and Hearing Screening for all the students. For those children who wear glasses please remind them to bring their glasses to school. They will need them for the screening. As you may know, school nurses are mandated to conduct yearly screening for vision/hearing difficulties, as well as to conduct height and weight measurements with BMI calculation for all students in grades K-8. Postural screening happens in grades 5-8. I enjoy meeting all the students during these screenings, because for some, it is the only time they visit my office. If your child has any difficulty with the screening, you will receive a letter advising a follow-up with your child's physician and/or a vision/hearing specialist.
Michelle Mosher is looking for donations of pants, especially boys/unisex, sizes small and large (elastic waist preferred). Please look through your closets and drawers to see if you have any that need a new home. Or if you would like to donate inexpensive, new pairs, those are welcomed as well.
