Collect Box Tops for the PTO!
Did you know that Loring Elementary School can earn up to $20,000 per year simply by collecting General Mills box tops or shopping through the box tops Marketplace? We are excited to be working with General Mills in collecting Box Tops for Education! If you’re not familiar with it, Box Tops for Education is a terrific program sponsored by General Mills. At the Box Tops Marketplace, you can shop at over 60 online stores including Pottery Barn, Expedia, Barnes and Noble and Lands’ End. A portion of every qualifying purchase is donated to your school, up to 8% of your purchase – all at no additional cost to you! Visit www.boxtops4education.com to register and find out more! It’s easy to shop at the marketplace….
Step 1: Register with your school online (type in Loring, Not Israel Loring) https://www.boxtops4education.com/Registration/Default.aspx
Step 2: Once Registered click on the marketplace link to start shopping and earning money for Loring!
Another way to help is to collect Box Tops coupons found on many General Mills products including food items like Honey Nut Cheerios and non-food items like Kleenex. Below is a link to all products with Box Tops http://www.boxtops4education.com/AboutBoxTops/Products.aspx
Here’s how it works:
1. You cut Box Tops from the items you buy.
2. Send them to school with your child. (The collection box is under the stairs in the lobby.)
We cut, count and mail them earning cash for our school!
Last year, Loring earned almost $1,000 collecting box tops! This year our goal is $2500.00. Can you help us get there? To make collecting fun for kids, there are collection sheets that you can download and print. Or, feel free to use a plastic bag or envelope! If your family is not participating, give it a try. Chances are you’re throwing away box tops without even knowing it. Each box top that we collect is worth 10 cents. Super box tops earn 30 cents! If every child brought in 10 box tops monthly February through June, Loring would earn $3000.00 this year – it’s that easy!!
Please encourage your kids to get involved!
