BOKS

BOKS is Coming To Loring!

What:

The BOKS mission is to promote the profound impact of physical activity on a child’s mind, body, and community. BOKS provides an opportunity for children to increase their daily physical activity in an effort to achieve the CDC’s recommended 60 minutes a day, five days a week with fun and non-competitive play.

Give your kids a body and brain boost that will set them up for a day of learning
Tests show that students who exercise before school are more receptive to learning, have fewer behavior issues, are happier, and get on a positive track toward healthy lifestyles.

When:

We will be offering 2 six week sessions (Fall and Spring)
Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00 to 8:45.
Fall session will start on Tuesday, September 26th and run through Friday, November 3rd.
Fall Session registration deadline is Monday, September 11th; lottery, if needed, will take place on Tuesday, September 12th.
We will notify you via email on Wednesday, September 13th on the status of the lottery.

Registration:

Program registration is $20 for the session; however, we are not collecting payments at this time, because if interest exceeds capacity, a lottery will be held. Further instructions on payment will follow.
Scholarships are available if needed. Please contact Karen Blumberg

General Parent Expectations:

This is a volunteer-run program, these sessions cannot run without you! The expectation is that a parent will volunteer at least once per session per family. A signup genius will be sent out once registration is complete.
