Loring Auction Invite
Dear Pawsome Loring Parents,
A teacher was trying to impress upon her pupils the importance of doing right at all times, and to bring out the answer‚ “bad habits”. She inquired: “What is it that we find so easy to get into and so hard to get out of?” There was silence for a moment and then one little fellow answered, “Bed!”
I am sure you will not have any difficulty getting out of bed on March 13, 2010 and making it to the Loring PTO Auction. First of all, it doesn’t begin until 6:30PM and secondly, you’ll want to be part of another great evening of fun. We will be gathering at the Charter Oak Country Club once again. Invitation will be coming shortly. Please check the the red folders for your special invitation.
Honestly, I am very grateful each and every day for your continuing support of the Loring School. It is amazing to observe the commitment, passion, and enthusiasm that you provide. Without your involvement and support the Loring School Community would not be a success. I was simply amazed at the amount of giving that occurred last year. It was not just the amount of money but the single-minded purpose that was shown. It helps bring a school community together.
I will be up front with you and say, “We are asking for your financial support.” Your contributions directly touch the lives of each student. The computers provide each student with the latest in technology, the Active Boards allow for advanced teaching and learning, the laptop carts give the 4th and 5th grade students the opportunity to work on in-depth studies. The teachers are very excited about the auction. They have been sending in requests and wish list items. All of the items have wide-reaching impact for learning and teaching.
You are cordially invited to the PTO Loring Auction. Please join us for food, fun, and excitement.
Teacher: Class, someone has stolen my purse out of my desk. It had $100 in it. I know you’re all basically good kids, so I’m willing to offer a reward of $10 to whoever returns it.
Voice at the back of the room: I’m offering $20!!!
Thank you all for you unwavering support. Never underestimate your contribution. Whether it’s material, spiritual, or you just roll up your sleeves and come in and help. Your heart and passion for the Loring School is needed and immensely appreciated.
Dare To Dream,
Mr. Dees
